I am happy to announce that we start our subscription to Nikkei Telecom21 (T21) with a fixed fee plan from today, March 1, 2010. It is a Japanese database of business information and news by Nikkei. We have one simultaneous access to pre-selected contents from the T21 database.
Access it on campus and via proxy from: http://libguides.usc.edu/content.php?pid=38436&sid=294400#2438205
Tips:
- Try T21 Fixed Simple Access if you prefer faster access.
- Ignore the message "ご契約によりこの機能は使用できません" at the top of the screen, which appears at first.
- "すでに一人ログインしています。既存のユーザを破棄して、再ログインしますか?" This message is asking if you wish to cancel the current user's connection to allow your login. Most of the time, go ahead and log yourself in.
- Though IP access incurs no extra fees, you still need to respond to each prompt before opening full text and PDF files.
- Please contact me for an ID/ password login pay-per-view service to access the full T21 database contents.
- Update the security certificate for your web browser if you get a warning when accessing T21.
About the the database:
- Economic, business and political news of Japan provided by Nikkei (Nihon Keizai Shimbun 日本経済新聞), the largest media corporation in Japan.
