China Education Initiative (CEI), founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization taking a unique approach to eliminating educational inequity in China by enlisting the US and China’s most promising future leaders in the effort.
We are kicking off our recruiting efforts for the 2011-2013 cohort of CEI Teaching Fellows. This year, we aim to double the number of American applicants in order to fill 75 American Fellow posts. We are thrilled to announce our fall application deadlines below.
CEI aspires to develop a cohort of internationally connected leaders who understand firsthand the challenges facing students in low-income Chinese communities, and who share the insight and conviction to advance the cause of educational equity—we hope you will help us in this effort by forwarding this exciting opportunity to students and alumni.
Over the next few months, my team and I will visit 40 university campuses to attend career fairs, present information sessions, and meet with interested faculty and administrators. For the complete list of universities we will visit this fall, please see the appendix of this email.
I have linked to our 2011-2013 Teaching Fellow description here. Please take a moment to browse our CEI brochure. We appreciate your help passing this on to prospective applicants. If you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to email me at sarabeth.berman@chinaeducationinitiative.org.
