The Career Planning & Placement Center is offering a mentor program for first generation college students at USC. This program will provide ‘real world’ exposure to the working world through a mentorship that focuses on professional and career development. Students will be paired with USC alumni who also were first generation college students. These mentors will guide students as they explore the concerns or challenges they face as a first generation college student at USC. Student mentees will gain professional development and career direction while gaining support and connectivity from their mentor.
The program requires a commitment of one school year. Mentors and mentees are expected to meet once per month for a professional activity.
