Student Voices Short Film Contest

The USC Shoah Foundation Institute invites you to participate in a short-film competition, Student Voices: Shaping the Conversation about Genocide and Human Rights.  Check out the website for more information.

Use footage from the Institutes archive of video interviews with Holocaust survivors and other witnesses to develop a short film that focuses on one of the following themes:

  • Discrimination and Violence
  • Responses to Genocide
  • The Role of Videotaped Eyewitness Accounts in Genocide Prevention and Human Rights Advocacy

Distinguished jury includes Academy Award-winning producer and Holocaust survivor Branko Lustig (Schindler's List, Gladiator).  Jury awards of up to $1,000!  Top entries  will be screened at a special panel discussion event presented as part of the  Visions and Voices program.

Competition presented in cooperation with the USC Institute for Multimedia Literacy and the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
